A Night on the Town

Ladies!

I love a good night out with my best girlfriends. I mean, who doesn’t? Not only is it important to look good for the bachelors, but it’s amost a given that hundreds of photos will be snapped throughout the night. So, you’ve gotta look and feel your best! A night out on the town calls for a little more drama and a little more edge with not only your attire, but your makeup. One of my go-to looks is the smokey eye. It’s a great look on anyone, but I feel it looks particularly great on light eyes. With that said, when I went out Saturday night, I played up my eyes with a blended black and dark brown eyeshadow and played down my lips with a peachy-nude gloss.

The Color Purple

58f01baa-d56e-4764-b789-a4888febdcc0wallpaperHey, beauties.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day! So, I have this fab eyeshadow from Bare Minerals in a shimmery dark purplish hue, but I rarely wear it because I tend to stick with more neutral colors. Today, I felt the urge to change up my “everyday” look without doing anything too out of the ordinary. To do so, I added this purple Bare Minerals eyeshadow to a neutral Bare Minerals eyeshadow and paired the duo with a light pink glossy lip. Enjoy!

Spring Fling

483495_568259706542182_869411244_nSaturday evening I messed around with some spring makeup looks and fell in love with this one. Not only is spring a wonderful season because of its gradually warming weather, but it’s the perfect time to bring all the bright, fun colors back into your look in both your makeup and your wardrobe. Try pairing a fairly muted eye with a bold pop of color on the lips, like a bright pink or coral, as shown here. It’s flirty and feminine for spring!

The Power of Makeup

5619_1966142395445_287822202_nHere’s the before and after of my beautiful sister who I mentioned in my first post. We’re thinking something along the lines of this for her wedding makeup, which will be done by your’s truly. Isn’t she fab?!

Welcome to the Dollhouse

Hello, dolls!

First off, thanks for finding your way to my blog. I’m happy that you’re able to spend some time with me exploring more about makeup, hair, nail care, health, entertainment and fashion. I am by no means an expert on any of these things, but I do have a passion for all of them.

Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I’m an (almost!) 21-year old mass communication student (with an emphasis in multimedia journalism) at Northwest Missouri State University in small town Maryville, Missouri. With just one year left, my career goals include to one day work as an E! News correspondent or work for a reputable magazine. I enjoy spending time with my girls, dancing, singing, reading, photography, traveling and anything that sparkles. I also love my Jesus.

I’ve always wanted to start a blog, but I never got around to it; but recently, I found the perfect opportunity to create one. My sister, Tiffany (my best friend in the ENTIRE world), is getting married in June and I am so thrilled for her. As preparation for the wedding began, we got to talking about what she hopes to look like when she says “I do,” and that obviously includes makeup. We decided to play around on a boring day and I did her makeup for her. She LOVED it and so did I. Therefore, I decided to put my skills to the test and publicly share them. She posted the before and after photos we took of her to two social networks and people raved about her look. In fact, people liked the look so much that I’ve even lined up a few paid makeovers beginning next month. So, since I absolutely love beauty, writing and interacting with people, I figured, what better way to combine all three than by starting a blog?

I hope you’ll find my blog exciting, inspiring and useful. If you follow any tips or have any questions or suggestions, please let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts. I look forward to sharing my beauty and fashion interests with you!
